Service Description

Our microsuction service offers safe, precise earwax removal for both ears using a specialist suction device. This method is widely regarded as the gold standard for earwax removal and is performed by trained professionals. Every appointment includes a full ear health assessment. For best results, please use ear drops to soften the wax for 7 days before your visit. Recommended options include olive oil, almond oil (avoid if allergic), sodium bicarbonate 5%, or Earol drops. Do not use drops if you suspect a perforated eardrum, active dermatitis, or ear canal infection. Microsuction is suitable when earwax causes hearing loss, blocked ears, itchiness, fullness, or obscures the eardrum. We cannot perform microsuction if you have an ear infection, a perforated eardrum, or if you are deaf in one ear. If wax is softened, most procedures are completed in one visit. If not, your second visit is discounted by 40%, and a third visit is free if still unresolved. If you book for two ears and only one ear requires treatment, we will refund the difference. A minimum appointment fee of £35 applies, even if no wax is removed, to cover the assessment and clinician’s time. Aftercare advice will be provided, and if any concerns arise, we can refer you to an audiologist. Important Information: • We only accept bookings for adults aged 18 and over. • We cannot perform earwax removal if: • You have an active ear infection or have had an ear infection within the last 90 days • You have ever had a perforated eardrum • You have permanent hearing loss in one ear (single-sided deafness) • Please use ear drops for at least 7 days prior to your appointment to soften the wax • Aftercare will be discussed during your consultation
