Flu is a highly contagious viral infection that occurs during the winter months. Why should I have the flu vaccine? Flu is a major cause of illness and absenteeism and treating it is an unwelcome drain on NHS resources. The Flu Vaccine is a preventative measure to help you to avoid catching flu. The immunisation provides protection against the ‘seasonal flu virus’ for the whole of the flu season and lasts one year. What are the symptoms of flu? Symptoms of flu begin after a 1-4 day incubation period and include; - A high temperature - Headache - Muscular aches & pains - Weakness - Overwhelming fatigue What can I do to help prevent catching flu? - Have the Flu Vaccine! - Eating a healthy diet and drinking plenty of water-based fluids helps. - Take regular exercise in the fresh air. - Dress appropriately to suit the weather and time of year. - Avoid close contact with others who may be coughing and sneezing. - Wash your hands often, especially before eating or touching your face. Does the flu vaccine provide instant immunity? No, this takes 7-10 days to start working and it is better to have the flu vaccine in October or November before the flu season arrives to give you protective antibodies before you are exposed to the virus. Cancellation Policy

To cancel and reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may not be eligible for a refund. Appointments can be rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment. After this time, a charge may apply.

Booking terms & further information

A deposit is due at time of booking to secure your appointment. Appointments are not confirmed until this has been paid. This deposit is non-refundable unless the appointment is cancelled by All Health Matters, or unless you give at least 2 working days' notice. Please note that Wellness Clinics at All Health Matters does not offer an ongoing care or treatment package and are an advisory service only. All Health Matters cannot treat or diagnose medical conditions and will refer you to back to NHS services via your GP if any results indicate that follow up is advisable. All Health Matters will give you a copy of your results to give to your GP. We can also write a private referral letter if you have access to private health care, however this may be chargeable dependant on the package you have selected. All Health Matters do not accept responsibility for your ongoing health, and the onus is on you, the customer, to follow any recommendations given as part of the medical assessment. By consenting to proceed with the appointment, you are agreeing to accept these terms.
