Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) - Kent

Details
  • Full time / Part time considered.

  • Must have experience of health surveillance and management referrals

  • Competitive Salary DOE + Benefits.

  • Employee-owned company - all direct employees who have passed probation are eligible for bonuses linked to company success.

About the role

Our OHAs are professional, compassionate, and agile, enjoying the variety of experiences that All Health Matters offers. You might be carrying out a mixed management referral and health surveillance clinic for a manufacturing company one day, and the next be working from home carrying out remote referrals for people working in transport, education, construction, and reviewing pre-placement questionnaires for white collar clients. You'll have the opportunity to get involved with health promotion and pro-active wellbeing campaigns to really make a difference to our clients' workforces. Our clinical team is overseen by Dr Frixos Kospacheilis and Rachel Day who will support you clinically and professionally to develop your skills and feel part of the AHM team. You'll be able to think on your feet, have a love of learning and self development, and be able to build rapport with people from all walks of life. Our work is all done online, so you'll have some computer skills or at least be unafraid and willing to learn. Immunisation training would be a bonus but is not essential.

This position is based in Kent and will require travel to clients sites and our Canterbury clinic so having your own transport is essential. There will also be the opportunity to work from home occasionally if suitable.

Occupational Health Technician (OHT) - East London

Details
  • Full time / Part time considered.

  • Training available - enquiries welcome from both experienced OHTs, and people without specific OHT training, but with HCA or Sports Science background.

  • Competitive Salary DOE + Benefits.

  • Employee-owned company - all direct employees who have passed probation are eligible for bonuses linked to company success.

About the role

Our OHTs take pride and care in their work, whether it's taking someone's blood pressure, carrying out a drug test, or explaining how to do a hearing test. They see lots of different people every week from all walks of life and build rapport to set them at ease during their medicals. Keeping accurate records and understanding when to escalate health issues to a nurse or doctor are essential, and our OHTs have regular clinical supervision and a chance to discuss questions and concerns with their peers and clinical management. Ongoing CPD is important and training opportunities are provided regularly. Some of our OHTs choose to train in phlebotomy, and vaccinating under the supervision of a medical professional.

Occupational Health Technicians help ensure people's jobs are not negatively affecting their health, and that they are fit and safe to carry out their role. Our video "The value of health surveillance" goes through many of the functions of an OHT's role.

This position is based in our East London clinic (E16) working alongside OHPs conducting mostly driver & safety critical worker medicals. There is also potential for travel and working on site at our clients' premises.
